About the project
Open Free Max brings interactive AI work into one local desktop workspace. Mission Control keeps several agent sessions visible at once, while each project keeps its own files, context and conversation history. The interface is designed for people who steer agents across real projects rather than opening one isolated chat at a time.
The Plan workspace turns repetitive work into a batch that can run across several sessions. Progress, outputs and paused tasks remain visible, so a long operation can survive a quota limit, a restart or a change of focus.
A local knowledge layer completes the workflow with searchable notes, approved facts and project links. The result is a lighter command centre for builders who want parallel execution without giving up human control or local ownership of their context.
The product brings together Mission Control, Plan, persistent sessions, local memory, screenshot workflows and direct Obsidian access in a single native workspace.
Technologies used
The solution is built around Rust, Tauri, SQLite, PTY to provide a reliable, scalable foundation for the project.
